Chloececilia, Could you double check you've posted the results correctly. TSH 14.4 (0.3-6.0) is very high and overtly hypothyroid. The range you've posted for FT4 looks more like an FT3 range. FT4 range is typically something like 12-22.
Chloececilia, TSH is very high and FT4 is low in range which indicates you are moving towards underactive. Rapid pulse and palpitations are common in underactive as well as overactive patients. Your Carbimazole dose or Levothyroxine dose needs adjustment.

Thank you Clutter. I didn't know it could also cause rapid pulse but I knew it could make you more aware of your heart beating. I can't seem to get a handle on this at all. Could my barrage of symptoms last week all be related to this? Shakes and all?
Thank you Clutter I started to feel (oddly) better last night. Not needing a beta blocker until 2pm today because I didn't have any symptoms so forgot! Funny old thyroid.
I have been going through a similar thing with a TSH of 12 anf T4 8 I also thought I was hyper due to all the symptoms like you, I was experiencing. Did not know you could have them and be under. Thank you Clutter.
