I was sorry to hear that lovely Dr Peatfield has been taken into hospital for an operation. I heard this in a recorded message when asking for the delayed results of my "spit and piss" thyroid tests. I do hope that it is not anything too serious and that he has a speedy recovery.

oh dear! Poor Barry. I'll give him a ring over the weekend to see how he is.

Oh no! I hope he's OK. I'm sure everyone here will want to wish him well - especially those of us (like me) who've consulted him and who he's helped so much.

He's had a couple of stays in hospital this year and I do know he had an operation too. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

On Monday this week Dr.P's receptionist gave me a telephone appointment with him for Dec 18th; she didn't say anything about him being in hospital, so I hope it's nothing serious.

Poor fellow. I hope he will be okay. I had forgotten all about him being wrapped up in trying to make sense of all the info I was taking in. Does he still see people or is he retired? I do remember looking him up about a year ago. I have got his book but even though it was for lay people I still found it hard to comprehend but now I know so much more will give it another go after I have finished Suzy Cohen't book.

Pass good wishes on Lynn please.

I hope he's OK and wish him a speedy recovery.

I really enjoyed his book and his description of how clever our bodies are on a biochemistry level moved me to tears at how exquisitely we are engineered. After that I promised not to treat my body so badly.

Hope Dr Barry will be ok - sending best wishes through Lynn. He is such a light in an otherwise dim world of endos!

Yes, what a wonderful man...I broke down in tears at my first appointment as I'd finally found someone who understood all my symptoms...such a kind gentle man, I dread to think where I would have been without him.

Oh poor Barry -hope he is on the mend. Lovely doc -who has worked & works tirelessly for his patients -brilliant book too which I still refer to on occasions.

Wishing him a speedy recovery.

I am very sorry to hear about Dr P being poorly. Please pass on my best wishes; I do hope that he will get better soon. Of all the doctors I have seen over the years, he is definitely the best!

Hazel.
