Help needed with blood results.

A bit of a long story with blood results. My June results had been marked ok by doctors but during Sept. symptoms started coming back so requested another blood test. This meant seeing another doctor who thought my previous results were abnormal and requested an endo. appointment. I also had bloods last week prior to this endo. appointment,

June :- T S H 0.139

T3 3.9

T4 not given.

Sept :-T S H 0.354

T3 3.9

T4 not given

Nov:- T S H 0.095

T3 3.3

T4 0.3

I have my appointment tomorrow (Dec 1st )

I had upped my T3 to 80 mcg. for a short while after the sept. bloods and was checked over by my own GP but dropped in back to 60 mcg. and gave up gym classes and exercise, so no longer so tried or strangely cold.

I would love some comments before my appointment.

Beaton, what are the FT3 and FT4 ranges?

Sorry Clutter, had to search through paperwork to find these.

TSH - 0.35 - 4.5

T4 - 11 - 24

T3 - 4.0 - 6.8

Beaton, T3 3.3 is below range. You need more T3. FT3 needs to be near or in top third of range ie >5.5. TSH is usually suppressed below range when taking T3, and FT4 will be low because you are taking T3 only.

I've just returned from my endo. visit. Very nice lady but still confused as to where she is right or not.

She told me after seeing other endos. and having different doses for the past few years, she doesn't think we have the balance right yet. Her idea is to lower T3 and introduce T4 (again). Slowly increasing T4 and lowering T3. Adjusting the dose every three weeks until we reach as suitable balance.

She has also taken bloods for B12 Vit D ( and some others which I can't remember.)

So I have to wait for her letter, both to me and my GP. I shall make an appointment for after Christmas. poor man, I have a list as long as me arm.
