Just wanted to say thank you for all your help at HealthUnlocked and apologise for keeping any one up.

But my 17 yr old son broke his wrist this evening and I'm sitting in a&e waiting for a doctor.

Poor boy, that's not much fun. Hope he's feeling better now.

If he's cooperative give him 1000mcg vitamin C for a while, I was talking about my pharmacist recommending it when I started taking carbimazole and the friend I was talking to said many years ago a consultant told her to give it to her don who had broken his arm - said it helps with the healing. Which would be right, I had a tooth out recently and the after care leaflet told me to take vitamin C. So if you can get him to take it I would, Redexon do a tablet that fizzes up when you drop it in a glass of water.

Thanksyou for your comment and yes i will give him vit c. Have loads of redoxen in house. Unfortunately these things happen he is a third dan in karate and training for olympics so any fast healing is all for the better. It was a good quiet opportunity to discuss my latest blood tests with clutter as A&E was surprisingly quiet.

Oh goodness, poor lad, I can imagine he will want to do everything and anything to hurry the healing. Hope he gets fit so that he can get on with his training for the Olympics, good that A&E wasn't too horrendous
