Just 20 minutes - that's all it takes - for your chance to have your say on T3 withdrawal

I have completed the Engage England/NHS Survey. And actually it was not really too difficult. An earlier post on this site indicated that it was a pretty laborious job and I was dreading it - even though I knew it an essential one. However, I was surprised when it took just 20 minutes.

I know many of you will have already completed the form.....but I urge all members to click on the link (found on previous post) and complete the form. This survey is going to have far more influence than the Change.Org one and this is your big chance to have your say. .....and make the NHS retract the guidelines on Liothyronine. After all, the withdrawal of this very vital drug could have terrible impact on your future health, or that of someone close to you.....you can never know....So.... please, please make time to give your voice to this valuable survey and get your family and friends to give their voice too. It takes just 20 minutes. JUST 20 minutes could help influence the decision makers on the importance and reliance of this drug for thousands of people, now and in the future.

Thanks for this shond2015. Note that if your hypothyroidism affects your ability to carry out normal day to day tasks and has lasted or is likely to last for more than one year then it is covered by the Equality Act. This applies even if your symptoms are resolved by taking liothyronine. Hence you should answer YES to the following question and tick the Disability box on the next question explaining how untreated hypothyroidism stops you doing normal tasks: -

Do you feel there are any groups, protected by the Equality Act 2010, likely to be disproportionately affected by this work?

Thanks for promoting this. I have responded.

It would be great if the site could advertise this on a regular basis so that as many people as possible can respond.

For those of us who rely on Liothyronine it is vital that we highlight the problems with the evidence and the scandal of the cost.

Thanks to to jimh111 for reminding us re the Disability Act. We are of course classed as having a Disability under the Act- an important fact that we should not forget.
