I find this a very simplistic and misleading article. There are many reasons for hair loss as well as those mentioned in the article, and it is OFTEN not an easy symptom to remedy. Hormones, vitamins and minerals are often NOT the answer, and can in fact increase hair loss. The article refers to underlying causes but does not address a MAJOR underlying cause - chronic pathogens which not only cause hair loss, but many other thyroid related symptoms as well including thyroid dysfunction itself. My family's experiences and those of many others in this area confirm that it is sometimes necessary to dig much deeper than the suggestions in this article. Jane x

Good point, but at least it's a start hopefully in the right direction.

How do you find out about pathogen issues please if you don't mind me asking? Thanks

Janeb15, Hairloss causes considerable distress so if you know how to identify and deal with chronic pathogens which cause it why not post it on the forum instead of via PMs?

Could you let me know about pathogen issues too please?

Janeb15, " It would however be very irresponsible and dangerous for me to post this information since the tests, diagnosis and treatment of such pathogens cannot be performed on a one size fits all basis. The removal of these pathogens requires the advice of an expert health care professional."

Why is it ok to PM the information if it's too dangerous to post on the forum?

I refer you to guideline 25. Jane x

Janeb15, surely the information can be imparted without naming specific doctors? Referring to Dr.A, for instance, wouldn't breach#25.
