I was only three weeks into my treatment when I flew to my daughters wedding. I told the travel insurance and they were happy. What treatment is your friend on?

It would be helpful if you can put the ranges (figures in brackets) after the results. Thanks.

T3 are 27.8 (should be 2.5-5.7).

T4 are 50.9 (should be 9-19).

I don't know how your friend is feeling. I was on the same tablets / my numbers were the same and felt quite ill. I listened to my body and coped better than I thought I would.

Well she's feeling fine but, she's just worried that something might happen whilst flying I've reassured her that she will be fine, as it's only an hours flight, where did you fly to Tory? And was it ok? What was your blood results before flying?

Thankyou

I flew to Italy and I wasn't well at the the time. Walking was one of my problems and terrible shakes. As I said I spoke to the insurance company and they just added it to my policy.

I think she just needs to talk to someone who has flown,

Better make sure the insurance company accepts in writing with all details passed on to them. It costs a fortune if an aircraft has to make an emergency landing. Plus, of course, potentially large medical and repatriation bills. And we are talking tens of thousands of pounds.

So have proof that everything has been fully declared and that they are still happy to provide cover.

[ Very recent story in the press about the bill for a pregnant woman who required an emergency landing. ]
