Has anyone tried Thyroplex (for women or men)? It says it's for individuals over 40 without overt endocrine disease, and it's true that it contains little thyroid hormone...+/- the equivalent of 1/4 grain or 15 mg of NDT. But...it also contains 200 mg of adrenal hormone, plus sex hormones (I have only checked the label for the female version, and it contains ovary hormones which, I'd assume, means estrogen, some progesterone and, to a lesser extent, testosterone).
I wanted to know if anyone has successfully used this product with hypothyroidism, to supplement other (prescription) drugs? I know Thyroplex is supposed to compensate for the slowing down of healthy glandulars in healthy people over 40, so it's not aimed at curing or treating any endocrine disease, but still...it would be pretty interesting to find out if anyone has used it, and what your impression is...since it's sold as an OTC product, I guess it's fine to ask the question here in the forum...
