I have been prescribed amoxicillin for tonsillitis and given codeine and paracetamol for back pain (I strained my back in the shower!).

Will either interact negatively with my T3 meds?

It's difficult to space them out as I take T3 morning and evening and have to take the antibiotics every 8 hours and the codeine and paracetamol every 4/6 hours for the next couple of days.

T3 is fleeting and only lasts for a couple of hours, hence having to split the dose!! I take paracetamol and codeine at bed time sometimes just before taking NDT. All you need to remember is to take the paracetamol and codeine on a FULL stomach and the rest on empty just follow the instructions for the medications carefully.

I thought that was probably the case but I'm cautious about taking any medication and wanted to check.

I would have thought it best to ask at your doctors surgery as he must have prescribed these meds and was also aware of you being on t3?

Hi

I never get to see the same GP twice so don't feel I can go in and 'have a chat' about how I'm feeling.

I was hoping that someone else on T3 may have found something that worked without nasty side effects.

I did put on the form that I was on T3 but you never quite know if they read your notes, do you!

I'm afraid that in my part of the world seeing the same GP on a regular basis is unheard of

I have taken them all now (not together) and I haven't died so I'm probably good.

Throat is getting better as is my back - this always happens when I take some leave from work - I get sick.
