It strikes me there are two ways to jump here. Think I've mentioned before that my OH's pulse drops after she takes T3 - and only dropped from 90+ when she switched over from NDT to Levo plus Lio. You might need more, not less! If you're feeling heavy and tired, it sounds more likely you're under, rather than overdosed. Is it worth trying a small increase - maybe another 5mcg?

Maybe you increased too quickly - at what level did you start ? and what were the increased amounts ?

Do you have any test results with ranges ? Especially the FT3 ...

Hi went up from 20 mcg t3 only to 50 mcg over the course of 17 weeks and droping thyroxine Raising.20 mcg -25mcg- 30mcg =35 mcg=40 mcg- 45 mcg 50 mcg.Sometimes felt better but always so tired and dragging myself around pulse and temp always been good, slowly raising ,but did not sleep well last night.Missed my 10 .30 dose of 20mcg and pulse still not settled.Scared to raise. Can the pulse raise if not on enough t3?

Am not an expert - although I am T3 only. How are your levels of Ferritin - Folate - Iron - B12 - VitD ? if low these can make you feel unwell. My heart flutters when my next dose is due. Occasionally have a funny missed beat - but that was more before I started T3. My pulse is consistently around 80.

Having low levels of iron can leave you feeling tired.....and increase heartbeat. This is because the red blood cells contain iron - and the oxygen sticks to the iron so it can be transported around the body and into the cells. When the iron is low - then so is the oxygen as there is nothing for it to stick onto :-)

Hi Marz ,irons levels and vit d fine ,adrenals all normal.

My pulse etc went mad half way through raising t3 . I lowered it for a couple of weeks and tried again but doing it in more split doses. I think we all try to raise it quicker than the body can get used to it as we all feel so tired.im on 4 doses a day 4 hours apart but every one is different and it takes a while to find the right dose for the right time of day. I take 1 -20 mcg t3 at 5.30am as this is when I get up then 15mcg at 10am and2pm and 5 mcg at 8pm. But you have to up these dose gradually. I'm still tired on this though !
