Manaquin, When FT4 is low TSH rises to stimulate the thyroid gland to produce more hormone. When the pituitary gland detects sufficient circulating thyroid hormone TSH drops.

Your first results show FT4 11.7 low in the 8.7-16.5 range and that is why your TSH was high 7.92 and above the 0.34-5.60 range.

FT4 15 is excellent, very near the top of the 8.7-16.5 range so your TSH has dropped to 0.86. Most people will be comfortable with TSH just above or below 1.0. You appear to be optimally medicated on 100mcg Eltroxin.
