Sounds like good stuff I will be looking into ordering some of that
I've been taking it for a couple of years. I have no idea if it's helping, but I keep taking it just in case it is.
Oh do u take 500 g a day along with other vits do u take it at a diff time from ur meds I take 100 tyroxine 60 lanzoprazole propanalol vit d vit b complex vit a an lysine
My tablets are 300 gm, and I take them at lunchtime, along with some of my other suppléments. I take my T3 all in one go at night.
Your taking rather a strange bunch of other things, and I'm always curious as to why people are taking the things they take. So, may I ask why you are taking all that? Propanalol is not recommended for hypos. And why the Lysine?
I was given propanalol 10 years ago for anxiety I think . When I was looking after my mum who had motor neurone decease . I have palpitations . I take lansoprazole for h hernia although I think it's crap . Lysine I read about supposed to be good for pain . Bit desperate I suppose . So not really sure what I'm doing . But thank you I've ordered the tumeric coming tmw from amazon
OK, well, did the doctor know that you were hypo when he prescribed the propanalol? It might be that your palpitations are due to low T3. When did you last have your thyroid tested? It could have been the stress of looking after your mum that pushed you over into hypo, affecting your heart.
PPIs are not meant for long-time use. And, there again, it could be your low T3 that is affecting your stomach acid causing acid reflux, and PPIs are making it worse, rather than better. I think you need to have a serious talk with your doctor! He's really not on the ball, is he!
In any case, taking PPIs will mean that your nutrients are going to be low. So, best to start with some tests to know exactly where you are before starting supplementing, because if you're B12 deficient, for example, a B complex is not going to contain enough B12 to raise the level.
So, you need to test vit D, vit B12, folate, iron and ferritin. Always best to start with them, because if they aren't optimal, your body can't absorb and convert the T4 you're giving it. Then, you can build from there.
Having said that, you're already taking vit D3 (I hope! how much are you taking?) so, it would be good to add about 400 mg magnesium to that, plus about 20 mg zinc. You probably won't get those tested, anyway.
Vit D3 and vit A should be taken with the fattiest meal of the day, because they are fat soluble.
I can't see any reason not to take the lysine, but I Don't know how much good it does. Have you found that it helps with pain? Magnesium and zinc should help with the pain. And you're probably low in B12 and that will also cause pain.
I got my bloods done on Friday past when I get them il post I don't know how longvive had tyroid trouble but when I went for my scan two weeks ago the consultant asked have u had this a long time before u got treatment. I see my doc on Thursday they really don't seem to understand the complications of tyroid at all . My mum died long time ago but I've had a very traumatic past two years an I think mabe I've just crashed my son was in very bad car acc an my daughter spent most of last summer in his they thought brain tumour or ms thankfully they were wrong they r better now . But very worrying time plus my hubby has sec pro ms totally housebound . So that's basically it . If I wrote a book it would b a best seller lol . Think I should do a Shirley valentine ... Thanks gg I will start a good routine from tmw
I think it's very difficult to know when the thyroid started to go wrong because we don't get symptoms straight away, and abnormal bloods can lag a long way behind symptoms. But, no, doctors really don't understand the complications of thyroid because they are taught that it is easy to diagnose and easy to treat!
Hi gg if you gey a chance could you look at this just got results : don't feel well at all today I feel like I'm drifting away lol the fatigue is awful anyway Tsh. 1.07. T4. 23.9. T3 3.3. Antibodie. 410. Thanks

That sounds good, I might try that when I've finished what I've got. I already take alpha lipoic acid with cinnamon, and ginger in tea and curries! But not the rest of those things.
