I increased my T3 by 5mcg yesterday, I slept all night, and here's my favourite thing -

'I woke feeling as though the sun was shining'

What's yours?

Morning. I increased my Levo a week ago to 100mcg and I woke up this morning at 7.30 and I didn't feel freezing cold as I have done for the past 3 months. Progress! :)

Hi Beaton, yes it really is shining outside today. But it's the sun in my head that shines when I get the dose right.

Love your question, thank you - it's good to have an opportunity to share positives! My favourite thing is how much more energy I have throughout the day - I achieve so much more & feel healthier & happier for it. :D xx

So is T3 good for the insomniacs amongst us? How I wish it was, haven't tried it. Want to try the CMT3 soon but it involves so much preparation, not sure I can cope with all the aspects of tests that are needed.

Hi sallypg, T3 may only correct insomnia caused by low thyroid. CMT3 is only one way isn't it. My start with T3 was different though a bit rocky and still not properly stable. Think the advantage of CMT3 is probably that you have so much data in the end you totally know what you're doing. Perhaps it's most suitable for those too poorly to work at the beginning. I managed to work through most dose adjustments, but couldn't have done all the measurements too. I'm quite well now, but not always, and still experimenting in quite an undisciplined way. Good luck.

This time last year I was on T4, which was no good for me I had a holiday booked for Marrakech but was too unwell to travel! I am now on T3 and it has given me back some of my energy....Enough that I have just spent a few days away in Portugal which was wonderful, I am paying the price now I am back but it was worth it to be able to make that trip, travel has always been a big part of my life and is one of my favourite things in life...:-)))

I find myself humming or singing to myself on good days. I'm not consciously doing it but just catch myself la la ing away! :)

Letting me ride my bike sometimes although 'ride' being very much overstated!!

Feeling like a real, valid person - the person I used to be!

How lovely to hear some good news. Well done Aurealis. I hope you have many more sunny mornings. Xx
