Blood Test Results

Hi everyone, just wanted to say this is my first post and am so very glad to have found this site. Could some of you experts out there take a look at my last blood test and let me know what you think:

TSH 1.28 (0.455.4.68)

T3 3.22 (2.77-5.27)

T4 1.15 (0.78-2.19)

T4 Total 7.46 (4.5-11.5)

I've been plodding along since 1998 with hypo and no change from 100mg of Levò over the years. I feel reasonably well with just a little anxiety to contend with at the moment. I know that's not much compared to what some of us are dealing with.

Thanks for your help

Welcome to the forum, Carolbrit.

Anxiety is common when undermedicated and overmedicated. I think you may be slightly undermedicated. Most people are comfortable with TSH around 1.0 or just below. FT4 is less than half way through range and ideally would be > 1.8. FT3 is also low, ideal is >4.4.

Read Dr. Toft's comments in Treatment Options in the link below. Email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org.uk if it would be helpful to show your GP the full Pulse article if you want to request a dose increase.
