Starting NDT

At present I am on 100mcg T4 only and am going to start on NDT, my blood test results for ( T4 were 16.3 ) and ( TSH were 2.49 ) I have 2 grain tablets of Erfa thyroid 125 and am thinking of taking a quarter of one which would be half a grain, but not sure how much T4 to cut down, maybe half 50mcg then wait a couple of weeks and take another half grain of NDT = 1grain and not take any more T4 but am not sure how long to wait until I take more, and also need to know what blood tests I would need to have as I am very new to this so any ideas and advise would be much appreciated, Jeni-M.

Jeni, Reduce T4 to 50mcg and introduce half a grain (30mg) NDT for 2 weeks then drop T4 and increase to 1 grain. Increase by half a grain every two weeks but hold at 2 grains for 4-6 weeks and have a TSH, FT4 and FT3 test before increasing further.
