T3 and hair loss

I'm getting very disheartened as I would dearly love to hear from anyone who is taking T3 or T3/T4 and has had good results with their hair loss. I would really like to hear some success story in this respect.

I have noticed my hair has very much improved on NDT. Even my hairdresser remarked on how much thicker it is.

I'm so pleased to hear it. I would like to try NDT but I am waiting for results of my saliva test. If my adrenals are okay then I will give it a go. But being cautious by opting for T3 and T4. Thanks for replying.

You have to make sure your ferritin is a good level of around 90. B vitamins are at good levels and also your optimally treated and if you are over medicated you will have hair loss too. A fine balancing act involved. I'm on t4/t3 and I'm optimally treated , my ferritin is around 65 and my hair loss is not like it was. I can say that my hair loss was at its worse when when my ferritin was very low but then at that stage so was my thyroid. It's all a Damn nuisance. X

My ferritin levels are good 123. Take B complex 50. Have just started adding T3 to T4 and am hoping it will reduce hair loss. You're right, it is a damn nuisance. Thanks for responding.

I hope this works for you. I'm also considering t3 but will wait until I get my ferritin to optimum levels.
