Welcome to the forum, Afsa.
Are you prescribed Levothyroxine?
Yea i am on thyroxin 50 mg past 3 yrs everyday.
Afsa, you should ask for a dose increase. Cholesterol rises when TSH rises and will almost certainly drop when you are optimally dosed on thyroxine.
The goal of thyroxine is to restore a patient to euthyroid status and for most people on medication that means TSH just above or below 1.0 with FT4 in the top 75% of range. Read Dr. Toft's comments in Treatment Options in the link below and email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org.uk for a full copy of the Pulse article if it would be helpful to show to your GP.

Ask your GP for the lab ref range for the TPO antibodies so we can advise whether they are positive or negative.
Ferritin 30 is low. Half way through range is optimal which is usually over 100. Buy some iron tablets and take each tablet with 500-1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation. Have another ferritin test 4-6 months after supplementing and stop supplementing 2 weeks prior to the test. Iron must be taken 4 hours away from thyroxine.
Tha ks Clutter for the usefull link will certainly take a print of the full range. Ito the tpo range is 34 as oer the lab ref range i got. For the iron i am taking Floressin which i hope will help in regularizing the ferratin level. Given this, fo uu still think i need to take the iron and vitamin c thu?
