Overactive
It's the drugs. They made me put on a stone. Still trying to lose half of it and not been on drugs for six months........ but so far touch wood a price worth paying rather than medical intervention with all their consequences x
Hi
I am Hyper with Graves and the tiredness and weight gain are the only things that get me down. Not only do I put on weight going hyper the meds add more, the good news for me is that with keeping a strict watch on my diet I lose it easily.
With the tiredness you just have to lie down when you are tired if possible, I was never sleepy but my body felt so tired all the time. That will go once your bloods are normal. Although what is normal for one is not for another.
I just accepted my bodies limitations and did what I could.
Good luck
Hi Darkmom I have overactive thyroid, not much appetite, work full time, constantly moving, I put on 3 stone in 2 months prior to diagnoses and absolutely cannot lose any of the weight. All I can say is that I am not putting any more on since being medicated. I suppose all we can do is keep trying and maybe one day it will all go away. Good luck
