Tryptase

Hi all,

I have hypothyroidism and have been on T4 (levo) for about 13 years.

In the last 18 months I've had bad itching and other symptoms (GI tract etc) and eventually ended up with a referral to immunology. I have persistently elevated tryptase (24) and had a bone marrow biopsy to rule out 'systemic mastocytosis'. They found no clusters of mast cells, so I was discharged from haematology. Immunology don't have a reason for my symptoms and raised tryptase. Anyone else had similar?

A belated welcome to the forum, Ahousefull.

I can only assume that other members haven't experienced elevated tryptase which is why you've had no replies.
