Nannyfudder, as CarolynB said in your other post we really need to see the lab ref range (the figures in brackets after your results) to see whether FT4 is good. I suspect it is low-normal as your TSH is 1.8. Most people are comfortable with TSH just above or below 1.0 and FT4 towards the top 75% of range.

Read Dr. Toft's comments in Treatment Options in the link below. If you think showing a full copy of the article to your GP would help persuade your GP to increase dose email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org.uk and ask for a copy of the Pulse Magazine article.

Nannyfudder, FT4 15.2 is normal. 'Ideal' would be over 16.42 and I think this might be achieved by a 25mcg dose increase which would bring your TSH down around 1.0 too.

Ask your GP to check ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate. Low levels can cause musculoskeletal pain, fatigue and low mood similar to hypothyroid symptoms.

Assuming you are already on Levo(?) it looks as if you have room for an increase. I feel very well when my TSH is below 1 and my FT4 is 20 (range 10 - 22).

Previously TSH was 1.3 and FT4 was 18 and I had lots of niggling symptoms including tiredness.
