Lisa3ok, antibodies are negative which rules out autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). TSH, FT4 and FT3 are within normal range but FT4 is quite low in range so keep an eye on it by having another test in 6 months.

I see you are having B12 injections. Check your ferritin and vitaminD too. Low/deficient levels can cause musculoskeletal pain, fatigue and low mood similar to hypothyroid symptoms.

Hi Lisa, I see you are not on any hormone right now, correct? Most people here have Hashimoto's, an autoimmune condition but YOU may just have low thyroid symptoms due to other reasons. Sometimes if you find those reasons why your own thyroid is not producing as much as it should, you can avoid going on hormone. I've been posting videos by a functional neurologist who can point to 24 reasons for low thyroid and I have watched them all. I think by far, adrenal exhaustion may start the downward spiral or leaky gut that harms your immunity and serotonin.

These are only five minutes long. The first one shows the effect to the whole body and I'll post two about cortisol produced by your adrenal glands. See if you can relate to any of them.

Hi, I'm overweight and have been all my life. No matter what I do I can't shift the weight. Extremely tired to the point of exhaustion. Light headed constantly. I have no sex drive where as I used to have a very high one. I get headaches. Don't sleep at all well, can go to bed exhausted and just seem to doze and dream constantly. I now have high bp which I never had a problem with before. I could go on but they are the main symptoms x

There is a possibility you have high cortisol. Problems with cortisol (too low or too high) are commonly associated with thyroid problems. Sometimes cortisol & adrenal issues come first, sometimes it is thyroid issues that comes first.

You might want to consider doing an adrenal stress profile test (which uses saliva, not blood).

The big problem though, is that the medical profession rarely acknowledges the results of saliva testing for adrenal & cortisol problems. (NASA uses saliva testing for their astronauts - allegedly.) There are some self-help measures you can take if it turns out to be a problem.

Do some research into Cushing's Syndrome and Cushing's Disease.

My apologies if I've sent you off after a red herring!

I would also second Clutter's advice about the mineral and vitamin testing. I got terrible headaches and exhaustion with low iron. In the end I had to test and treat myself.
