Private thyroid ultrasound scan solihull birmingham

Hi all

I need an ultrasound of thyroid and NHS wait is a little longer than I would like. Can anyone suggest somewhere in Solihull Birmingham. Internet suggests price should be around £150 max but the private hospitals are quoting me £210 upwards.

HI There are 2 private hospitals, Spire, Solihull and Priory , Edgbaston. Compare the prices they do vary. No where else that I have heard of.There is the Nuffield at Leamingon Spa too.

Thanks Jackie. I have managed to get Spire for £212, which still seems steep to me, but hey ho, where is the credit card? The others were £50 more each.... I will double check the NHS referral won't come through before I go ahead, just in case....

Hi If a consultant has referred you it should be quite quick. If GP it takes ages.

Thanks J. It has been done through the GP, they said 5 weeks so me being an impatient little patient ...have to dust off the credit card.

I know. It depends so much on your problem. My ortho referral took 9 months, my mum's gynae took 2 weeks.... wish we could pre plan our ailments! My job is starting to talk about trigger points and half pay and my anxiety is going up now as I am just keen to function again, so I may pay....
