Today I had good news - I am full of heavy metals so am being medicated to get rid of them. Maybe it will help my thyroid and hopefully my fatigue will lift. A reason for my fatigue after 21 years of it.

What a relief for you to have some answers. I think half the battle is finding the answers to our health issues. Heavy metals can indeed inhibit thyroid function and there have been many reports that once the toxicity has gone, thyroid function has returned to normal again. Good luck, I really hope you feel much better after your detoxing. :-)

Thanks HEA72, I think the detox is a long process but it would be nice if at the end I didnt have to take thyroid meds. Something to look forward to.

I am thinking of getting tested but I don't know where to go. Do any of the private labs test? Thanks

I did mine thru a Naturopath but I'm sure you would be able to find a lab to do it. Mine was thru Biolab but I think they need a Doc's name to send the results to.

Hi Marz. I really dont know what caused it but I did work on a racecourse for 9 years and regularly ran on the tracks - heaven knows what they put on the grass to keep it in pristine condition. I'm 70 so its been creeping up on me for years.

I'm getting tested for that as my iron blood tests indicated it. I've ordered a hair mineral analysis test through pulse screening around £50.

What test did you use?

I know the comprehensive metabolic profile through Genova is good but it's over £200!!!

I did a test with Biolab and it cost £139.

Hi Topaz,

What are you taking as the chelating agent/ detoxing agent.

It is a long process chelating metals from your body, but it can only lead to better health, something to look forward to.

Take care
