I had an appiontment with my doctor today. TSH levels 25.00. T4. 14.1. Last bloods TSH levels 48.00 T4 9.1 all B12 D etc etc all come back in the high levels, now on 75 Levo. Hair really awful, thinning with patches, tired and emotional. Will all this improve when my levels get in range? Doctor is referring me to a dermotoligist with my hair, but I know it's my thyriod because of the posts on here, but she seems to think it could be something else 😢 I will get a print out of my blood results tomorrow. feeling fed up forgot to ask the doctor for them today.

You'll feel much better when you're appropriately treated. Is your dose being increased?
I hope your GP raised your levothyroxine by 25mcg at least as your TSH is far too high yet.
Yes, I was on 50 Levo now on 75 levo, I think my hair is so bad because I was going to the doctors feeling unwell and a small patch in my hair last July but they failed to give me a blood test until I demanded one in January it came back with a TSH LEVEL 48 so I don't how long i have been under active for.
A long time, as it is a very gradual loss of hormones. It is amazing when we go along with symptoms many GPs don't even think of the thyroid gland and test the hormones.
When you are having a blood test, don't take levothyroxine before it - take it afterwards and have it as early as possible as TSH is highest then. We don't want GP to reduce the dose when the TSH reaches 'normal' and stop increasing. Most of us feel well with a very low TSH whereas the GPs believe we will have a heart attack. We are more likely to get heart or other problems if we don't have sufficient thyroid hormones.
Take levothyroxine first thing with a glass of water and supplements/medications 4 hours later.
That's still quite a low dose. I know one thyroid doc who would call it 'homeopathic'! Hopefully you will feel better as your meds get increased. If not then search out a good thyroid doc or endo or try NDT or T3 after reading some of the many good thyroid books around. My personal favourite books are those by Dr Gordon Skinner (best ever description of symptoms), Dr Barry Durrant-Peatfield (good for physiology and meds) and Br Mark Starr for explaining why the meds might not be working if you have conversion problems. Dr Peatfield also discusses the need for adrenal support which you may well need since your TSH has got so high. Hope you feel better soon.
Thank you😊
P.S. when you give your blood test results, always put the ranges as labs throughout the UK differ as they use different machines. It then makes it easier for members to comment on them.
