Briefly- have been struggling with infertility for over 2 years. Have many hypo symptoms. GP was quite harsh today until I started crying. Has agreed to redo bloods inc.antibodies in a couple of weeks. My latest TSH result was an incidental finding on pre-IVF bloods (won't be doing IVF now until this is below 2 and I feel better)
Could you please help decipher? Was there any indication on bloods from 2013 when I went with hypo symptoms (much worse now) feel like I've been left to get this ill. And wasted 2 years trying to conceive with a broken thyroid. Could this be a fluke? Dr mentioned a virus could have caused spike in TSH?
Please help!

I am sorry you have had such a difficult experience with your GP. You do not deserve such thoughtless treatment. Still if you have been reading this site you will know it is quite common for GP's to be lacking in thyroid knowledge
Your GP should be able to understand from looking at the thyroid results that your Pituitary is working harder to push out more TSH to stimulate the Thyroid to produce more T4. The T4 is even lower. I do think it is a good idea that your anti-bodies will be tested. Also do PUSh for the FT3 test so you can REALLY see what is going on - as I suspect that will be at the bottom of the range.
Also have you had the B12 - Ferritin - Folate - Iron - VitD tested ? - if so what were the results. Sorry I am not so good on recognising the Red and White blood cell counts - but someone will be along soon.
Changing your GP springs to mind...and hope you soon receive some treatment....
Pat1ence, your TSH was almost at the top of the range in 2013 and your FT4 was low in range. This indicates your thyroid was failing but you wouldn't have got treatment until TSH was >4.0 from most GPs unless you said you were planning pregnancy. The 2013 lab report even flags possible hypothyroid at the top. A decent GP would have suggested 3/6 monthly repeat test monitoring. I can't believe he wants to repeat bloods before treating you with TSH >10. Virus my rear end!
Have the blood test as early in the morning as possible when TSH is highest and skip breakfast as TSH drops after food.
Start looking for a new doctor because this bloke obviously knows nothing about thyroid and isn't looking after you and you'll end up fighting him for every dose increase you need. I think you've been treated very shabbily.
