Vit D and Iodine tests

Hi all,

I'd like to ask for advice on Vit D and Iodine tests. What should i ask to be tested? Cholecalciferol, hydroxi-d? and regarding iodine?

I ask it because sometimes are different ways to do the tests (sailva, urine, blood) and different ways (chemicals) to measure, and i don't know if this is the case with D and iodine.

Iodine is a urine test.

Juanra, ask for the vitD 25 OH test which gives total vitD2 and vitD3.

HI Vit D is a simple test but if considering taking it, also ask for a calcium test. This is very important as D affects calcium. If calcium below range you need both , if above range dangerous to take any D.
