A little embarrassing: Hi currently havin... - Thyroid UK
A little embarrassing
Sadly it is one of the many symptoms of under-medication and usually one of the last things to be restored once medication is adequate.
I am sure the problem is far bigger than is reported - which is a great shame. It is rarely mentioned here on the forum - and of course it is difficult for people to talk about.
How are your levels ? Sorry - must read your other posts and get up to speed :
52 !
Just read your previous post and thread - and can see people have been helpful and suggested you are sensitive to the T4. Have you managed to make progress with the suggestions people have made... ?
A TSH of 52 is just not right. Even a GP will know that. Did you make contact with Louise to obtain a list of Private Endos ? There is much we can and have to do ourselves....
Hi Claire
You haven't completed your profile so don't know your thyroid history but Marz has given a good explanation. Your problem is common as you will see in the following link:
Also worth asking for a sex hormone test if you haven't already, and keeping an eye on your birth control method if it is hormonal. So many things can affect libido. I found that b12 injections, while not affecting libido directly, had a positive effect on related issues like sensitivity, which is something I didn't expect.
