Can you take St. John's wort while taking carbimazole for hyperthyroidism I have just been diagnosed?

JadeJade, from the little I've read SJW isn't recommended if you are taking thyroid or antithyroid medication. Although SJW is available over the counter it is a powerful botanical and is contraindicated with many drugs. It may be better to ask your doctor to prescribe something which won't react adversely with Carbimazole.
