Ok so this is the start of my journey to find out if my thyroids are the problem,my Dr appointment is at 11am any other advise I cab get before I speak to her ? Will she get funny because in telling her what I think is wrong ? Do I push the fact I need all the test ?
Today: Ok so this is the start of my journey to... - Thyroid UK
Today
Sadly she was very dismissive made me feel stupid, pulled a face as soon as I mentioned thyroid problems,it made no difference to her that my dad has it,she Said its not hereditary bla bla,she has sent me for a fasting blood test to do all bloods so lets hope it shows something
I was just going to say the same as humanbean, Your doctor sounds even worse than mine, (who believes weight gain is due to age, because you don't gain weight if you are hypo or on Levo)
I'm so gutted at her reaction I'm getting bloods done then moving to my dads doctors they have delbt with him very well with his thyroid problems, but he did leave his a long time and was very poorly, but sorted now and at 81 he is still farming
Definitely see your dad's doctor as we would all like to be fit and well at 81.
I don't know how he does it but he keeps going,I feel like crap everyday he obviously has his meds sorted out,he just had his bloods done a couple of days ago along with his flu jab
Will see what my bloods come back like, having them done Tuesday morning
