Seasons Greetings to you too, Kitten-Whiskers. I hope you have a much healthier New Year than 2014.

Thank you Clutter - I think it maybe. I read this fantastic article from a lady who also had such trouble with the medication, it turned out that once she went on a Gluten Free and Vegan Diet all her aliments disappeared and now 8 months on is completely well and no medication required because it was the gluten attacking the thyroid - It does make sense as to why I can't have any medication. so fingers crossed it will work for me too. Cook books at the ready

KW, you could try the g-f first. That way you'll know whether it is the gluten that is causing the problem. I know you are already vegetarian so I assume you supplement B12 which is only available in meat, fish and eggs? If you go vegan, do be careful to check out what nutrients you need to supplement.

Thank you Clutter, I will be careful. I do take a Vitamin B Complex. I also have hemp powder for Protein and Fibre but I will miss my Quorn and veggie meat substitutes.

Maybe after I am better I could re introduce, If you health is better, stress is under control is it possible to be able to eat these things again?

KW, if the gluten and meat substitutes aren't the cause of issues then you are unlikely to benefit from avoiding them and can reintroduce them but I've seen members recommend avoidance of Quorn/meat free substitutes because of some of the ingredients healthunlocked.com/search/Q...

Oh Dear, I thought it was the soya that was bad and I thought because Quorn didn't contain soya then it would be ok. So much stuff piled into the food today - it makes it so hard to tell.

KW, I've never explored g-f or any diet elimination programme in any depth so I can't really advise which is why I posted the Quorn link so you can decide for yourself.
