He may not be so keen if he knows it is unlicenced. In the UK none of the NDT's are licence but the named patient above gives details. Usually your pharmacist can source it.
You can point out that Naturethroid has been used for 75 years and has never had an inconsistency (the BTA say all NDT is inconsistent).

When writing a script on a named patient basis I believe 'for hypothyrodism' should be written on the script.
