Two very interesting articles I've recently read - perhaps you've already read them? They explain things very clearly and make a lot of sense.

Thanks for posting GG. Liked the second link. Of course if Docs do not accept Adrenal Insufficiency as something real - possibly as it is quite complicated to treat successfully - then it is easier for them to tick the Fibromyalgia Box :-) T3 and D3 sorted me :-) - or was it the B12 jabs ? Probably all three :-)

Yes, of course, there's always that obsticle to over-come - doctors! I wish I had the answer to that one... But, it's always better to educate ourselves so that at least we can prevent them from giving us the wrong treatments, even if we can't make them give the right ones.

Why can't they? Because their training taught them to think exactly the opposite. And very few of them have what it takes to think out of the box.

We've somehow come to believe that doctors are some sort of super person, Wise and intelligent, logical and all-knowing. And it's just not true. They are just human beings like us. And the majority of doctors I've met were rather dull and stupid people. At first I wondered how they managed to pass their exams! But passing exams just means you have a good memory, it doesn't mean you've understood all you've been taught, or are capable of reasoning and logic. It doesn't mean they can analyse what they've learnt, and say 'hey wait a minute, this doesn't add up! this doesn't correspond to what my patients are telling me!'. What's more, they are trained not to listen to their patients. Just do blood tests and prescribe drugs. That's what their training adds up to.

In order to get doctors to think the way of this article, we have to go back to grass roots and re-evaluate what and how they're taught. But the big problem there is Big Pharma, who don't want doctors to know and understand how to diagnose and treat thyroid. They would lose thousands of pounds if that happened. Sorry, but that's the way it is.

Hugs, Grey

It's sad that we have to fight so hard when good health ought to be a god-given right!

Well done for saving your daughter!

Well questiontime a few weeks ago they were talking about the state of the NHS and the one MP stated that there priority was the health and well being of patients. So i am starting to think that us thyroid patients are not included .

Well, that's just ignorance, they probably think they're doing their best, and that brings us back to Big Pharma!!! I always come back to Big Pharma...
