yellow tongue
It could possibly be oral thrush, especially if you have been unwell or have had antibiotics or steroids recently. If the natural bacteria in your mouth have been killed off, the fungal infection gets chance to take hold because the friendly bacteria are not keeping it at bay.
You should see your doctor though because it might not be thrush and anything you do to treat thrush may make it worse if it is something else. If it is thrush, they can prescribe something to help clear it or there may be a natural option. If it is something else, you may need a different treatment or it may go on its own.
Sorry I couldn't be more specific.

You might have better luck if you go to your dentist, I expect they have a greater knowledge of oral problems as they see mouths all day every day and your doctor probably doesn't. A good dentist will have links with your local hospital too.
An acupuncturist would be able to tell you what's wrong. The coating on a tongue, according to its colour and texture, shows how your organs are working and how your digestive system is functioning. A yellow coating can mean too much heat in the body or poor digestion.
Try a tongue scraper and brush not only your teeth but all around the mouth. It may be Candida Albicans - see Dr. Sarah Myhill's website and type in the search box Candida and Dysbiosis.
