I have read on another forum that Lloyds Pharmacy have applied for a licence to stock WP Thyroid made by RLC Labs. ( formerly known as Westhroid - P ).

It's great news and hopefully they can source a cheaper liothyronine from abroad as I feel the cost to the NHS for T3 is exorbitant and besides it gives us an alternative.
Not sure it will make any real difference - after all, it looks as if Idis is able to hold a stock of Armour Thyroid within the UK, but that doesn't make it much easier to get a GP to prescribe it. There is the extreme outside possibility that they are going for a full product licence, but I rather doubt it.
It would be good if it did have a real impact.
I agree about Liothyronine but again, I doubt they will be putting in for a full product licence even if they could.
