An interesting exploration of the adrenal control system and problems involved by Nora Gedgaudas.

This is from the Ancestral Health Symposium in June, several other interesting speakers. PR

Enjoyed that but wish I understood more. My later husband was a science based endocrinologist with his first research being on TRH and at the time of his death Brain Peptides. How I wish I had taken more notice and even more so that he was still around to day to help and advise. I do believe in listening to my body though and treating the cause and not the symptoms. Listening on what folks say on here has been good for me as well though still not feeling 100% I am finding a little more energy and have lost about 4 kg over 6 months. I just wish I wasn't bombarded with such phrases as overmedicating, just because I'm feeling better. I went into one appointment with a false jollity because I didn't want to go down the depressed channel so again I must be overmedicating because I'm happy! so many unbslances can occur and it sounds frightening but in a way reassuring that its all linked up. Because of Food Intolerence testing with horrendous results-I can't possibly cut everything out-I am trying to be more sensible and find I am eating better and less in volume. I still have a lot of hypo problems and not convinced I'm on the right meds but I'm beginning to see the spot of light at the end of the tunnel. My golden rule though is my cup is always half full and never half empty even though some days I feel I've spilt the lot!

Hi silverfox7

I just noticed in your post that you mentioned a husband was working on brain peptides.

I had some recent blood results and apparently was tested for that, though I haven't a clue what it means. There was an exclamation mark beside it.

Any ideas as I don't see the doc till Saturday.

Cheers Pp

Wish I could help you. We both worked in physiology labs in different University cities so we didn't bring work back home with us. He was critically injured 22 years ago and lost his life 8 years later. Even if I could remember more then I'm sure it would be very out of date now. I know and appreciate how worried you must be. We are all frightened of the unknown and its implications but all I can say that its a complicated area but the experts are extremely talented and dedicated so try not to worry. It does sound like more tests need to be done or a check to see machine working ok. I hope it is something that is easily sorted but try not to worry. Please let me know how you get on but I hope it goes well x

I took a look at their site and couldn't find any transcripts. Nora has an Ebook available on Amazon for $9.99 which is a further exploration of the subject. PR
