Welcome to the forum, Robertlee.

Tremors are a feature of hyperthyroidism and are sometimes a symptom of over medication in hypothyroidism too,. Are you on thyroid medication for hyperthyroidism? It can take 2/3 weeks for the Carbimazole to start regulating your thyroid and reduce the tremors.

Thank you Clutter for your reply I was diagnosed with an over active in 2006 and it took me a year to get my Carbimazole down to 5mg, I stayed on that for 6 years yes 6 years and was fine no side effects at all, then moving and seeing a new doctor she told me I needed to come off my tablets as they were very dangerous that was in 2012 and then 2 weeks ago my blood test came back with no TSH reading at all, so they have started me on 20mg Carbimazole till I see the Endo in October

I remember getting the shakes at the early stages but nothing like they are now, it seems especially in the morning; it’s impossible to hold a cup of coffee, I wish now they had just left me as I was on the 5mg

I had the shakes something terrible before I was diagnosed with Graves. Now I've been treated I'm fine - I am a keen photographer and I was at the stage where I couldn't hold my camera steady even with built in anti shake. I was very bad.

I found though that when I was building up to the correct dose of block and replace for me, every time I needed an increase in my levo I got hyper symptoms.

First time it happened I thought I was going hyper again but someone on here told me I was probably needing an increase in levo and they were righ so I knew what was wrong next time it happened.

Weird how you can get an overlap in hypo / hyper symptoms.

Endo informed me too that beta blockers would stop the shakes I was sceptical but it worked quickly and very well only needed to take them for 2 weeks till carbi kicked in Hope they settle soon
