GP increases dose??

Hi, I went to collect my prescription for my Levothyroxine and when I looked at the script the GP has increased the dose from 125mcg to 150mcg. I have no idea why and my TSH is normal with my 2 thyroid hormones and thyroid antibodies high! I mentioned the changed dose to the practice's receptionist who asked me if the GP had spoken to me about changing my dose and I said no. I find this most odd, why would the GP suddenly change my dose when she has said I am on the correct dose? And why change it just before my thyroid blood test is due?

Skyla, Your last results 18/20 days ago on 125mcg showed over range FT4 and FT3 and you had symptoms of overmedication. I don't think your GP knows what s/he is doing. I suggest you continue on your reduced dose, have the blood test and post your results for advice and consider seeing another GP at your practice before you increase your dose.

No I don't think she knows what she's doing either. I'm going to see another doctor at the practice as well. The blood test is booked in for next week, in the morning.
