24 hour adrenal stress test

Hi, I have Hashimoto's and I ordered an adrenal stress test through Genova, is it any good? Do I need to do anything in particular so as not to affect the results? I'm a big tea drinker so would the caffeine affect the results?

The test comes with an instruction sheet (which I can't remember anything about, except that you really do need to read it). If you aren't sure, ring them, they were very helpful to me.

The test is useful for your own reference, but the NHS won't take any notice of it.

Ok. Thanks. I only asked because I've read that caffeine might affect the cortisol result. I'll give them a call later.

Hi My Endo says the only good test is through a doc. 24hour urine ccollection, cortisone tablet at midnight and blood test 9am.

Oh. Oops. The saliva one might not be much good then. I think the urine one is a bit expensive for me. Thanks Jackie.

Hi The expensive part would be the 9am bloods, I know the urine is cheapish.See if the GP will do the 9am bloods as essential.
