Ferritin Blood Test.

Just had my Ferritin blood result over the phone and I am thinking it is a bit low ? just need a second opinion please.

Ferritin = 45 (15-200)

Yes! I was told it was normal, how did you guess that one M ?,

I asked the receptionist for a result and it's range which confused her, said did I want the Doctor to call me, I said I didn't mind her reading it out, after she'd read it out I replied "that's 'QUITE' interesting"

So now I'm normal, but not, very interesting

Hi I have the opposite. My ferritin is rising all the time. My latest result was 160 (45-145). Nobody can tell me why, wondering if it is the thyroid?

..it can sometimes indicate inflammation somewhere.....

is all I can say Bobbies, I don't know the answer to that one, did your Doctor point out that it was over the range ?

I'm sure someone on here knows the answer.

Funny though as Hubby has had two of his bloods showing over the range, one was printed as 'abnormal high' by the labs, yet Medics disregarded it saying it was nothing much. ?
