MMH Blood Tests, HB, Ferritin TSAT, Active B12 and Folate

Just wondered about theseHB 152

Ferritin 78

TSAT 24

B12 300

Folate 14.9.

Ferritin and TSAT at the lower end of the scale according to the graphs. Any thoughts?

Hi there, could you add the ranges just to be sure.

Low ferritin with normal HB (if HB is normal, can’t tell) suggests iron deficiency without anaemia, a thing in its own right. Lots of info online, IDWA for short.

With a tsat at that level, I’d recommend a full iron panel. It’s just scraping the bottom of being barely ok, but you can’t do anything about it until you know the other iron measures.

Ferritin could be better but it’s not dire by any means. Not that bad actually.

As you probably know, your B12 and folate both too low (assuming b12 range somewhere around 200-900 and folate 5-20 - but do confirm.)

No its an active B12 test, my B12 is near the top of the range. I'll post ranges later thanks. I inject B12 my level is normally over 2000.

TSAT 24 15-49

Active B12 300 40-320

Folate 14.9 7-25

My thoughts are the same, except of course b12 is fine.
