....do you have any blood test results that you can post - with their ranges. It will help us to help you. It is good that your Doc gave you VitD and Folic Acid but there are other things that are important too. Again we need the results with ranges....

Often Low B12 symptoms overlap with Hypothyroidism which could explain the Doctors stance at this moment.

Also Vitamins and Minerals take time to work in the body. VitD is fat soluble and needs to be taken with food containing fat....oily fish ?

It is all very complicated - so one step at a time - and posting your results is the first step.

You could also put VitD into the Search Box at the top of the page - and also B12 and see what comes up - lots of reading I'm afraid....

Have a look at the study posted by Lily May just before your post and print it for your GP to read. He may change his mind.

Hi Migraine is autoimmune and various forms, some terrible that do not respond. Although, like you I suspect it is the thyroid.Regarding the vit D make sure your calciu is in range, vital.

Thyroid, TSH, T4 and Free T3, minimum of tests. If gP unable, on line, Blue Horizon, finger prick ,all DIY.

Best wishes,

Jackie

Hi cindy_lou

I see Marz mentioned this, but VIt B12 deficiency, apart from causing pernicious anaemia- which is an autoimmune disease in itself, can certainly lead to all the symptoms you mention. Weakness, fatigue, light headedness, rapid heartbeat, rapid breathing, headaches/migraines, mood changes, depression, ringing in ears, altered taste, loss of appetite, easy brusing and bleeding gums.

I wasn't deficient but had levels just above a deficiency and have been supplementing to get them back up. Don't feel knowledgeable enogh to advise you where to go/what to do, but others on this forum are.

I wish you all the best. You are not alone. Korky kat x

Just a thought but the ringing in the ears dizziness could be Meniere's I get it and it can make you feel very unwell. Maybe your doctor should check your ears.

Hi Firstly What is your TSH and what is your temperature measured three hour after you have woken up.

Its sounds like you are taking no Thyroxin so there may be other problems.

Yours

Cindy Lou I also have been feeling that way, I have been having headaches or migraines and terrible tummy probs. I decided to not take my NDT for a day to see if that was it. I am hoping it is a bug. And I so hope you feel better hon. I will let you know if I come up with an answer, but I think I may have had too much dairy and wheat. It didn't used to bother me but have a feeling this might be it. Good luck honey. X

HAVE YOU HAD A BLOOD TEST? IF NOT HAVE ONE URGENTLY

Hi, what are your iron levels? Has your serum ferritin been tested? Ears ringing, very tired - could be low iron. Have you tried methylB12 and the methylated version of folate, not folic acid? In this weather you should be able to get enough D by exposing legs and arms to the sun at midday for as long as you can without burning.

Do you think you might have any absorption/gut issues/inflammation problems contributing to low iron? Did your neuro dr explain why he'd picked on folic acid, and what reading do you have on B12?

When your endocrine dr says borderline, what TSH is that and has he/she done any other tests? Lots of people here will guide you if you post results...
