Your FT3 is at the top/just above most ranges I've seen, FT4 good and TSH barely suppressed. Your bloods look good and say you are responding to treatment. How are you feeling?

Well, I'm feeling very good. However, appointment Wednesday and Endo promised last time that he will reduce both to see which way I go!!!!!!!!! I don't know that I'm ready to go down that avenue yet!

Don't know how you are ironing but If it is any help I started off with

TSH < 0.03. (0.35 - 5.5 ) below low reference limit

Free T4 was 38.5. (10.0 - 19.8) consistent with hyperthyroidism - above high reference limit.

The endo I saw the other day said I was probably below 0.03 as that is the lowest they could go.

After one month on 20mcg Carbimazole my readings were

TSH - < 0.03 (0.35 - 5.5 ) Below low reference limit.

Thyroid peroxidase antibody level (XaDvU) 167. (0.0 - 100.0)

Free T4 - 15.6. (10.0 - 19.8)

The TSH was still the same, the FT4 had improved but I got a message saying to double up to 40mcg Carbimazole.

How long have you been on B&R and how much levo are you taking with your carb?

My Free T4 (5 years ago) started off at 74 and then I was diagnosed with Graves.

Been on block and replace for last year. 40mcg Carb. and 100mg Levo.

Endo said he was looking to reduce both to see which way I go.

That was what I was on when I stopped taking mine. I started carb alone at the end of November 2012 then went on to both levo and carb at the end of February 2013 and stopped everything in November 2013, I thought it didn't seem all that long but I suppose it was 8/9 months - I was down to TSH - 0.56 FT4 - 17.4 when mine was stopped.

Feels very, very strange to just stop - mine wasn't reduced at all - one day I was taking all that carb and levo and the next day - nothing - but that was six months ago and fingers crossed I'm still fine although my TSH has crept up to 1.4

I still take slow release Vitamin C with zinc, CoQ10 and an A-Z multivitamin and mineral plus vitamin D spray and sublingual B12 ( was very low in these) as well as some Brazil nuts for selenium and magnesium.

Good luck when you start cutting back :-)

All sounds very positive. I wish you continued good luck.

Well, saw the Endo today. Says my results are still high. Has reduced my Levo to 50mg and keeping me on 40mcg Carbimazole. Next time bloods and then hopes to slightly reduce my Carbimazole.

Not what you're looking for?
