After a scan about 10 years ago, it showed that mine had re-grown, but was not functional (had sub-total thyroidectomy while 14 weeks pregnant in 1978). Recently, after being changed from Eltroxin in 2010, I have been feeling as if I am untreated. Janet.

I ask because I was wondering if your body had had the chance to settle after such a surgical trauma. You can experience symptoms of being hyperthyroid, yet through blood tests appear to be either within the normal range or even hypo. It is unlikely that your thyroid would have regenerated sufficient to give you symptoms of hyperthyroidism, but have a look on the Thyroid UK website - huge amount of information there which, since you know exactly how you fell, you will find really helpful at what seems to be the start of your journey towards regaining your health.

All the best,

Steph
