I'm 18 weeks pregnant and my GP didn't want to increase my thyroxine but the edocrine specialist did. Who is right??

The recommendation is that levothyroxine is increased by 25 to 50 mcg for women who are, or are planning to be pregnant.
The endocrine specialist is 100% right it is in the British thyroid associations guidance for gps you baby hasn't got a thyroid yet (or at least it isn't functioning yet) so he/she is using your thyroid hormone if you don't increase either you or both of you will suffer and with the babies development it will in fact affect brain development more so than thyroid development.
