Don't know anything about it, but I get magnesium from Epsom Salt baths, and it helps with the aches and pains too

I use magnesium oil to relax restless legs, dosnt cure but helps

I started taking magnesium 3 months ago 200mg a day, I also used epsom salts and the oil.

I felt great for a few weeks, slept wonderfully, eliminated the mild palps I was having, all aches gone BUT a couple of weeks ago my blood pressure plummeted, pains all over and migraine (basically felt really awful) which are all symptoms of Magnesium toxicity. As soon as I stopped taking them I returned back to normal ( still sleeping well though)

I am obviously not deficient - I would proceed with caution.

My husband swears by it - he used it for his knees and was happy with the results. He has no thyroid problems though.

I use magnesium flakes in the bath with some lavender oil - makes a nice relaxing bath and I think the Brazil nuts and I eat magnesium rich foods. :-)

When you first start using magnesium oil it will probably sting or itch a bit. This apparently happens when people are deficient. The effect disappears when sufficiency is reached (allegedly). Perhaps you could use this effect as a guide to when it is time to reduce your dose to allow you to maintain your levels, but not increase them?

I'm a big fan and use it to help me sleep but I find if I put it on my legs it stings/itches like mad but it's fine on my inner arms.

Buy the flakes on ebay and make up your own using advice on google. Much much cheaper this way.

Yes, I buy mine online and make oil, but it presents the problem of what then to do with the huge bag of salts. I left mine on the shelf in the bag not realising it attracts water from the atmosphere, so when I next picked up the bag it was all mouldy and wet. I've put it in a jar now, but there's an awful lot to get through. :-)

I use it on and off , it stings when applied first but it says this on tbe bottle . Unfortunately I develop a rash after a few days so I stop until it clears up , it also says on the bottle some people have a reaction to it . It seems effective for aches and pains .
