Anyone here got Cushings disease?: After having... - Thyroid UK
Anyone here got Cushings disease?
I am sorry you are having problems and have just looked up Cushings Disease and this is a link:-
nhs.uk/conditions/Cushings-...
Healthunlocked also have a Cushings forum. I hope it's helpful, if not you can always come back and ask questions. Some members with a thyroid gland problem may also have Cushings.
Hi Loo was wondering how you were doing after your surgery.Dont know much about Cushings but wanted to send you a hug x
Aww thank you hon, just what I need right now! Am quite poorly at the mo, bed bound most of the time with absolutely no energy. Am having to take hydrocortisone and I don't like it lol! Brain op over and done with quickly, it's just what the op has done to my pituitary gland that's causing problems. I've been told this takes months, if not years, to sort out and I have a whole host of hormone tests coming up soon. Kings have been brilliant and will get me right, it's just I'm not very patient lol. I'm beginning to think I've never suffered with ME/CFS the past 25 years, but Cushings instead! Will let you know more when I know more. Thanks for your support, much appreciated, Laura xx

Hi, I had the pituitary op 18 months ago and luckily was given T3 as I also had an underactive thyroid. I don't know if this is the reason but I am feeling SO much better. Could you ask for a T3 test? You could have a private test. Who was your surgeon? All the best. Ging.xx.
Hi Ging, I had Mr Nick Thomas at Kings in London. Went there on Monday for my insulin stress test, but it couldn't be done cos nobody told me to stop taking the pill! Back in 6 weeks to try again! Will certainly ask about t3. How are you now and did you take a while feeling awful before you felt better? Hugs, Laura xx
