Meds don't seem to be helping.

I have been taking 1 grain (60) of Armour and 25 micorgrams of Levothryoxine for 2 months because my last tests showed the following:

TSH 1.04 (range .27 - 4.2)

Free Thyroxine 9.0 (range 12.0 - 22.0)) (low)

Free T3 3.9 (range 3.1 - 6.8)

Vitamin D 127 (range 50 - 200)

I have felt no relief whatsoever and seem to losing a lot of hair on the right side of my scalp. I asked my GP if I should increase the dose but she thought it was unnecessary.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the dosage levels? It seems based on much I have read it doesn't seem high enough and I am wondering if I should push to have her increase my dosage. I also have ME and have read that many ME patients need to take upwards of 180 mgs and can find relief from many symptoms of low thryoid and ME.

Thanks for your comments

I should clarify that I had been taking the 60 mgs of Armour only for two months before these tests were done and my T4 was still low at the time of testing.

The T3 in the Armour will suppress your FT4 and TSH but your FT3 is also at the bottom of range. That, and your hair loss and unresolved symptoms would suggest that you are under medicated and need to increase your Armour or add in some extra T3.
