My friend has tried to order one online and is being asked for a code, but I was under the impression you could buy the tests direct. It's Genova diagnostics she was looking at.
Thanks, L x

You can use Thyroid UK as the practitioner, but I think you might have to ring them to do it
Use the phone to order, and quote Thyroid UK as practitioner.
You are not asked for payment details when making the order. You have to supply those on the paperwork when you send the samples back.
Edit : Forgot to say - when phoning, the system is an automated one so you can phone at any time of day I think.
Can i ask you when the kit arrives can you do the test when you want to or does it have to be done straught away.
Thanks
You can do it when it is convenient for you. I don't recall there being any demand for it to be returned within a set time.
Thanks,
I think the test kits are good for about 6 months or so.
That is a good point. Some tests have tubes with "stuff" in, presumably something that has to be mixed with whatever is put in it. I would assume that "stuff" must have a certain shelf-life. So keeping a test for a very long time might not be such a great idea. Phoning the company and asking for advice would be a good idea if there was going to be a long delay between receiving the test and actually doing something with it.
It is the anticoagulant (in blood tubes mind) that has an expiry date. I would suspect with the saliva ones that if they had some kind of stabilisation compound the expiry date would be printed on the exterior of the tube. The cost of the actual kit is pennies, it's the lab analysis that costs the money, so you should be able to get a replacement foc if you are more than a little lax using it!
It sounds like you can take it at your leisure then Silverfox7.
