Can anyone recommend a good doctor?

Hello everyone!

Can anyone recommend a good doctor? I have the Thyroid UK list but was wondering if anyone had any experience of them. I was thinking of making an appointment with Dr Sister but am a bit confused about the choice.

Thank you

My referral to Dr Skinner finally came through three days after he died. My GP is treating on TSH only and is ignoring my low in range FT4. I desperately need to find a doctor who will treat me with a view to getting me better rather than just within range. I am in the West Midlands, but am prepared to travel.

If anyone has suggestions of good doctors, please send a personal message to each person.

Many thanks.

I saw one of the doctors on the list many many years ago and he started me on the road to being well again. I cannot say what he and his organisation is like now. In my opinion if it were not for him I would at the worst be dead by now at the very very best a housebound zombie.

Where are you based? Are just looking for a private GP or an endo?

Hi i'm in Colchester, Essex but am willing to travel. I'm looking for any doctor that will treat the symptoms not just look at the blood results.

Thank you

I believe there is a doctor in Leamington Spa, but I can't remember her/his name. Maybe someone else will be able to help on this one.

Yes my Endo is lovely and very good. i any one wants details send me Pm. Just click on my name, There is a big difference between a private thyroid doctor and an Endo.. Endo covers a huge field.

I would recommend Dr P. Its not a quick fix, but my health is slowly improving - god knows how I would be now if I hadn't have gone to see him.

Good luck x
