Nice clear video on nutrition and how it helps to produce Thyroxine.

Was sent a nice little vid on the breakdown and usage of vitamins in thyroxine production. It kind of puts it all into a clear perspective so you can focus on different elements to spot deficiencies. Hope it helps someone. (sorry about the audio)

Hi, real_mission. Thanks for this, I found it quite simple to follow and it made sense to me, so I am going to copy out the boardwork for when I see an endo on Friday. If a patient has hypothyoidism, this doctor is Right to ask, What Is Causing It ? My gps have Not asked this question, so just go with the flow and prescribe levothyroxine, end of !

Very clear, informative video - thanks for posting. In the gluten e-summit Dr Loren Cordain stated that wheat germ agglutinin binds to the cell pore and prevents vitamin D from working.

Wow, that is SO interesting, I was just glued to the screen, thank you.

So glad too that I have topped up all of the important nutrients he mentions :-)

Brilliant. He also does a good video on magnesium deficiency as well. What interests me about it the most from a personal point of view is that I was deficient in the 3 nutrients essential for TSH production - magnesium, B12 and zinc. I have Graves so my TSH was non existent. So by correcting those (which I have done) I feel a lot more confident about achieving remission. Fingers crossed.

Thanks everyone! I thought it filled in a few gaps the Endos and GP's do not (or cannot) explain.

How did I miss this?

I love Dr Osbourne's no nonsense videos, thanks real_mission :D

That's really interesting. Fortunately I do take all of the supplements he mentions but I have Hashis so it's not straight forward. He does not mention Hashimotos and antibodies and failure to convert T4 to T3 . I took extra iodine after doing research, to help my flagging thyroid, which then caused my thyroid to crash - hence me being on NDT now. Apparently it can cause your thyroid to stop working if you have antibodies. There are two opposing ideas about the safety/benefit of iodine supplementation from "very dangerous" to " beneficial to use in high doses", as I found out.

Thanks real_mission,

I have seen that video before along with Dr. Peter Osbourne's other videos on B12 deficiency and B1 deficiency. (Thiamin) it was good to go through them again to remind myself, Dr. O explains it all so easily. but trying to keep it up in my brain is the hardest. ;) :)

Need to pluck up courage to ask my Doc to see it, though do remember my Doc telling me that they are into new medical findings. These video's certainly show how everything comes together and in the correct order.

Wonder if anyone else has been brave enough to mentioned Doctor P. Osbourne's videos to their Doctors ?

Do you have a shortcut for the original video as it does not seem to work?
